1. Your CV data stays on your device

Our CV builder is a front-end application. Everything you enter to build your CV — such as your name, contact details, photo, work experience and education — is processed in your web browser. We do not save, store or upload your CV content to our servers.

Autosave: to stop you losing work, the editor saves your CV in your own browser’s local storage on your device. It stays there until you click Start over in the editor or clear your browser data. It is never sent to us, and it is not available on other devices or browsers.

2. Information collected automatically

Like most websites, we and our service providers automatically collect basic technical information when you visit, such as IP address, browser type, operating system, referring pages, pages visited and approximate country. This information does not include your CV content.

3. Third-party services

  • Google Analytics helps us understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it.
  • Google AdSense displays advertisements that keep the service free. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google Ads Settings.
  • Google Fonts and public code libraries (jQuery, jQuery UI) may be loaded on the CV editor pages to display fonts and run the editor.
  • Trustpilot may load a review widget after you download your CV.

Some articles contain affiliate links (for example to Fiverr). If you buy through them we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Affiliate links are labelled.

4. Cookies

We and our partners use cookies and similar technologies for analytics and advertising. You can set your browser to refuse some or all cookies or to alert you when cookies are set. Where required by law (for example in the EU and UK), consent is requested before non-essential cookies are used.

5. How your information is kept safe

The site is served over HTTPS. Because your CV content is never sent to our servers, it cannot be exposed by a breach of our systems.

6. Children

The site is intended for job seekers aged 16 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
